Object Description

The compound monocular microscope has a body tube that is slide focused with fine focus controlled by a knob on top of the pillar. The eye piece tube is connected to the body tube by a threaded mount. Accessories include an eye piece and a double nosepiece with 2 objective lenses with "R & J BECK" engraved on lens protector. A static condenser casing with one iris diaphragm is attached beneath the square stage to which a pair of clips are attached. The plano-concave mirror is attached to a gimbal and arm. It is signed on the curved base " HENRY CROUCH LONDON 4668". The microscope stands 34.2cm (min.) extending to 35cm. Circa 1909 S.
